Clay Esther Scull

Clay Esther Scull, 90, of Tenaha, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 in San Augustine.  She was born May 1, 1922 in Palestine to Henry Clay Cooper and Esther Laurette Hull Cooper. On July 8, 1939, she married Drue Dale Scull, who preceded her in death.  Ms. Scull was a member of First Baptist Church in Tenaha.

 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Tenaha with Bro. Russ Atwood officiating.  Interment will follow at Scull Family Cemetery in Tenaha.

 

Pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church in Tenaha.

 

She is survived by

Son: John Dale Scull and wife, Erma Dee of Tenaha

 

Daughters:

Priscilla Jayne Hill of Ft. Worth

Jodie Annette Wright and husband, Michael of Friendswood

 

Grandchildren:

Esther Dawson and husband, Scott of Dallas

Christi Jayne Campbell and husband, Bill of Ft. Worth

Amy Tayte Brock and husband, Rick of Hawaii

John Drue Scull and wife, Suzanne of Tenaha

Dee Ann Starr and husband Greg of Texarkana, Texas

Terry Stephen Scull and wife, Alison of Center

Matthew George Wright of Friendswood

Micah Clay Morris and husband, Travis of Nassau Bay

Morgan Grace Wright of Friendswood

Half Sister: Betty Ellison of Corpus Christi

 

She was preceded in death by

Parents: Henry Cooper and Esther Hull Cooper
Husband: Drue Dale Scull

Sons-in-law: Terry Stephen Sells and Ralph Hill

 

Memorial donations may be made in Ms. Scull’s name to First Baptist Church in Tenaha.
