Mark McKinzie, 46, of Carthage, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010. He was born August 15, 1963 in Center to Lee McKinzie and Hazel Snider McKinzie. Mark was currently employed by Strong Service where he was a wireline operator. He had formerly served in law enforcement in Shelby County for sixteen years and had served as Joaquin City Marshall. Mark was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Carthage.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 25, 2010 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Elmer Mathews, Bro. Kirby Hill and Bro Gordon Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Pierce, Chris Taylor, Landon McDonald, Lane McDonald, Buddy Moss, Craig Moss, Luke Elliott and Ike Cummings. Honorary pallbearers will be Kurtis Cougler, Luke Cougler, Everett Cougler, Glenn Johnson, Billy Hearnsberger and all the staff of Strong Service.
