Jean Andrews Lawson, 75, of Center,passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at her residence. She was born June 17, 1934 in Patroon, Texas to James J. Andrews and Iva Mae Odgen Andrews. Mrs. Lawson worked as a nurse for 35 years, 30 of which were at Holiday Nursing Center. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Lawson was a member of First Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Rachel Sunday School Class.

Pallbearers will be Cade Yarbrough, Nathan Yarbrough, Blake Barr, Bruce Yarbrough, Charles Barr and Joseph Andrews. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Horn, Larry Horn, Marlin Hardy and Steve Barr.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or the Joy Seekers Conference of Center First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Billy E. Lawson of Center: daughters; Debra LaJean Yarbrough and husband Bruce of Center, Luciana Kay Barr and husband Charles of Center and Sherry Gwyn Lawson of Nacogdoches: grandchildren; Cade Yarbrough and wife Traci, Nathan Yarbrough and Blake Barr: great grandchildren; Cole Yarbrough, Mallory Yarbrough and Dillon Yarbrough: brother; Randy Andrews of Center: nephew; Joseph Andrews of Center; also a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; James J. and Iva Mae Ogden Andrews: brother; James M. "Bud" Andrews and grandson; Brent Barr.
