Jo Anne Manning Walker, 72, of Center, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born July 24, 1937 in Joaquin to Walter D. Manning, Jr. and Alice Louise May Manning. Mrs. Walker graduated from Center High School in 1955 and Panola Junior College in 1957, where she had a 4.0 grade point average. She was previously a member of the Center Rotary Club, head of the Citizen's Bank travel club and a Girl Scout leader. She retired from Citizen's Bank, where she was an officer for over twenty years. The "Jo Anne Walker Scholarship For Success" has been established by her family which is given to a deserving student yearly.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Mickey Chandler and Bro. D. J. Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow at Smith Cemetery near Center.

Pallbearers will be Jody Hooper, Tim Mitchell, Joel Hooper, Ben Thomas, Tom Thomas and Larry Russell. Honorary pallbearers will be Carlton Shamburger, Steve Johnson and Ken Hollis.
