- John R. Adams, 83, of Center, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Shelby Regional Medical Center. He was born December 25, 1926 in Shelby County to Flint Adams and Georgia Sanford Adams. He was a member of the International Order of Foresters. Mr. Adams served in the 101st Airborne Division of the Army.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service time is still pending, but will be May 5, 2010 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Rev. J.C. Dawson and Rev. Mike Belgard officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Shelby County.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Dawson, Michael Dawson, Tyler Dawson, John Yarbrough, Sonny Donaldson, Nathan Adams and Woody Jernigan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Lout, Jack Lout, Butch Adams, Monk Peace, Sammy Jones and Randolph Lout.
