- Leland Max Menefee, 66, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010 at a Dallas hospital. He was born May 9, 1943 in Nacogdoches to Max Menefee & Charlcye Parker Menefee. Mr. Menefee was a former bank director at Gladewater National Bank. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pittsburg.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, February 12, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Rev. Steve Packer officiating. Interment will follow at Gladewater Memorial Park in Gladewater.
Pallbearers will be Edd Long, Christopher Long, Dallas Long, Jason King, Jimmy Woods and Shane Pennington. Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Pilgrim, Larry Lyons, Mickey Browning, Bob Browning, Bernard Metcalf and Joe Fitts.
